City Break in Dubai

Dubai is a beautiful city and we had an amazing time exploring it.

Our first day we went to the Burj Khalifa and watched the fountain show which was amazing and the atmosphere was great, it was full of tourists. We also went up to the top of the Burj Khalifa, this was quite expensive but it was so worth it. We went up just as the sun was setting. It was beautiful and we got some really nice pictures.

The next day we headed to the beach and it was actually very cold and very few people were swimming, it was overcast for our whole trip but it didn't put a damper on our holiday.

The next day it was raining like Ireland, but we still made the trip to the Spice Souk and the Gold Souk. The Spice Souk was actually a lot smaller than I had expected but it was still great to see, there were so many men trying to make deals and asking tourists to come into their shops for tea, they are very friendly and kept saying how much they love the Irish.

I bought a few crystals in a tiny crystal shop we found down a little alleyway, they had so many different crystals, loads that I had never heard of before, we haggled so much and got all my crystals for about €50.

We also went indoor skiing which was such a cool experience, again it was a little expensive but it was a great way to spend our second last day.

We spent most of our nights either getting dinner in the Mall beside our hotel and then going to the cinema after or going for a walk on the Marina. There's loads of lovely restaurants in the malls and it's always so busy till late. The Marina was probably my favourite part of Dubai, it was beautiful and the building were all lit up at night.

Although we enjoyed our trip in Dubai, I don't think we would go back for another week, it would be great to stop there for a few days and then get another flight to somewhere else. The only thing I wish we did that we didn't get a chance to do would be to see The Palm and also go to the Butterfly Botanic Gardens which are meant to be beautiful.

Thanks for reading guys.

Lots of LOVE,
